Great Shoes And Was A Great Price

Stunning Aesthetics, But A Functional Failure For The Serious Distance Walker.

I purchased these ASICS last fall, and after putting them through the paces, I can confidently say they are the most disappointing shoe in my current rotation—which includes New Balance 1080s, Hoka, Saucony, and Vasque trail runners. My issue is both practical and mechanical: there is a specific divot/hole near the heel on the sole (on the right shoe only) that creates a bizarre "suction cup" effect on indoor surfaces like tile or linoleum. While they perform adequately on pavement or gravel, the moment I walk into a store, the shoe suction-cups to the floor, creating an incredibly annoying sound and gait disruption. To be clear: I keep them only because the colorway is fantastic. I am a distance walker who values high-energy, unconventional aesthetics, and these definitely deliver on the "look." However, they lack the structural integrity and reliability I expect. If you are looking for a workhorse to carry you through 300+ miles of training, this isn't the shoe for you. These are strictly "athleisure" shoes—pretty to look at, but not built for the distance.

Great But Runs Small

Super Comfy

Thank you NYT review! These are the most comfortable shoes I have had in a long time. I have struggled with shoes due to chronic foot problems and these fit my orthotics perfectly. The breathability is perfect for summer and staying cool. They also required a shorter time to break in. I put them on the first time and they were immediately comfortable. So happy to have found this model.
