I bought two pairs of these shorts during the sales. What attracted me to them was the multitude of pockets they have. The one and only zipper pocket stores my phone securely but note the pocket is not waterproof - there was no expectation from me that it should be by the way. The other pockets are 'looser' and don't have any zipper on them. This caused me a little concern so I tried running a long run with a single gel in them and a small bottle of sun screen to see if they remained in there which they did. While this gives me confidence I can put items in there, I would still be a little hesitant to add anything of value in there. Concerning fitting, my waist is at the bottom an end of the XL size tolerance and it shows. These shorts fit a little baggier than I expected causing me to wear additional lycra shorts underneath to ensure the crown jewels do not suffer from chaffing which they almost certainly would do in these loose shorts. Other than all of that, I cannot fault the shorts, and I am sure if I had ordered L instead of XL they would get 6 stars off me if there were six stars to select.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these and ended up returning them. I work from home full time so athletic leisure wear is a large portion of what I wear for around the house comfort and I feel it looks good that suits me for regular daily wear outside the house as well. I love my Brooks shoes and had high hopes but ultimately was disappointed. The quality of the materials was nice, the rest of it wasn't for me. Pockets way too shallow to have any real world use of holding anything in. Sizing ran way small. If you want to use them for near skin tight running shorts with nothing in your pockets these are your short, otherwise pass and look at other shorts.

Sad to see these discontinued. I’ve tried 5-6 brands over the past 10 years, and the Sherpa 2-in-1 (5” and 7”) have been the standout favorites since 2022.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are so comfy and the ample storage options are great for longer runs storing phone, gels, keys and even water. Maybe the perfect short

I have had lots of running shorts over the years and personally prefer shorts with a liner. These fit well, the waistband is comfortable, the pocket can hold a phone / keyfob / gel/Gu or any combination of these. I haven't had any issues with chafing and have done multiple 10+ mile runs in them. Will buy another pair.

Have 3 pair as these are the best short for me, the right type and combination of pocket and pouches. In a pinch the side pocket can hold your phone securely with mostly zero jostling, due to the “tights” type vs brief interior. The pouches hold a bunch of gels comfortably. Worth the price

I love these shorts so much I bought more. They are comfortable and breathable during long and short runs. Whenever I wear these I am complimented. Pairs well with a Brooks tank or tee shirt.

My new favorite shorts! Fit is excellent- TTS. Extremely comfortable, like the boxer brief style inner liner with integrated pocket that can accommodate my phone (when needed- I prefer not to run with a phone but sometimes you have to.). Side pockets are also very useful/versatile. Replacing my Patagonia Strider Pro's I've been running in forever.

Liked everything about these shorts except for except the liner. There is one seam that just is off and blew out in the worst spot and made the shorts un wearable.

These are by far my favorite running shorts. I enjoy the side pocket for my phone and then the pockets along the waist band are perfect for holding gels. Also, I enjoy the compression shorts lining better than the other types. I'm slowly phasing out all my other shorts to be replaced with this style.

I got these for a 50k trail race. I did every one of my long runs and the race in them, and they are phenomenal. There was hardly ever any chafing, they are very comfortable and non-restrictive. The phone pocket is super secure, I never even noticed my phone in it. The other pockets are great for holding car keys, gels, and anything else you need. I have worn the linerless version of this for a few years, but this was the first pair of the 2-in-1 that I got, and I love them. This will be my go-to pair for long runs and races for the foreseeable future. Only issue I had with them was with the drawstring. If I tied it too tight, it would chafe my waist, but this was easily fixed by loosening the drawstring.

chafes worse than almost any lined short I have worn

Shorts were not bad but the liner was baggy in the back so not comfortable at all.

The best 2-in-1 shorts. I think the inner liner could be a little longer though. No complaints! Although I was a little unsure of the belt part, it seemed a bit thick but I’ve been using these shorts for a few weeks and have no issues.
