The Only Shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter is a marathon runner who had shin splints & fallen arches. These--with supportive inserts--are LITERALLY the only shoes that we found that (with doctor approval!) allowed her to return to running after her shin splints & fallen arches. We tried others. Nothing else let her run again without pain.

Comfortable

Please Change The Heel Cups Back

Have worn Brooks for quite a few years now and have had Ghosts in the past, so bought a pair of Ghost 17 after a quick try in the store rather than the full fitting thinking they would be as good as ever. However, the heel has been changed to a "step in" heel which has changed the depth/shape of the heel cup. Have always worn inserts in my Brooks, but noticed after extended walking that the back of the shoe was hitting my heel too low. They don't fit right even without the inserts and cause my feet and ankles to ache with extended walking. Goodness knows what they would feel like if I tried running.

This Used To Be A Great Shoe....

I wear a 9.5 wide and have worn Brooks Ghost models for many years, but this one was returned. This shoe has a narrower, almost pointy toe box, which defeats the comfort of the "wide shoe" The shoe tongue is narrower, and the edges of the tongue create pressure points on the top of your foot when laced up. The heel is now raised for some reason, which is just annoying, especially if you have any Achilles tenderness. The shoe is not very cushioned, so would have had to add a replacement insole.... Overall, Brooks ruined a perfectly good shoe.

Great Fit

The fit of these shoes is great. It is difficult to find a training shoe in a narrow width. I wear mediums because that is all I can find. Please offer more styles in narrow.

Great Walking Sneakers For Me

Ghost 17

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I walk 2miles daily I am 73 years of age every since I got my Ghost 17 my feet no longer hurt. I recommend these shoes to everyone also bought Ghost 18 love them too. Brooks will always be my number 1 choice.

The toe box is narrow and very difficult to return since we have no access to UPS store.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a fan of Brooks Ghost for several years now. I think my first were ghost 14? I am a nurse so comfort and support is a must! Though the Ghost 17 fits the bill,I will say that I prefer the older designed ghost. Please stop trying to imitate Hoka. I tried Hoka and do not like the thick soles and too much cushion. I opted not to buy Ghost 18 because of this and am afraid that has 17 becomes less available I made need to find a different brand in the future.

Beautiful Shoe, Very Comfortable

Beautiful sneaker and very comfortable. Unfortunately when I went walking/running my feet rocked back and forth, so for me….it does not provide the stability I need.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Normally I would give GHOST 5 rating but this white pair does not get a five….. Hard area on the upper top near the third toe that rubs middle of my toe. Have to wear bandage.

Just A Comfortable Shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first pair of Ghost17 and from the minute I tried them on they felt very comfortable. There was no "break-in" period. I always wear new shoes in the house for the first week just in case I have to return them, but it was not necessary with this pair. I knew from the start they were a "keeper"!

Best Sneakers I Have Ever Owned!!!

They are comfortable for all day wear. I wear these at work and exercise. Then for my night walk, I switch to my 22’s, which are great also.
