Good Not Great
After suffering a fractured fibula I turned to high tops and/or mids to offer better ankle support. I purchased Coco Gauff’s CG2-great support, excellent traction and very comfortable. Once my ankle was completely healed, I opted to go with the FuelCell 996v6, a true pickleball shoe. The shoe is comfortable but the traction and responsiveness are of a lower quality than the CG2. I will be returning to thw CG2 for my next pickleball shoe.

Good Look
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Previous reviews mentioned sizing issues; a bit tight but lacing solved that. Feel of shoe is a bit different than what i am accustomed to but not noticeable while playing pickleball.

Not The Same
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these shoes a few weeks ago because I loved my 696v6 so much but On the first day I twisted my ankle doing dinking drills. For some reason these shoes feel like I'm wearing platform shoes. I have tried to break them in the past few weeks but they are very painful. They are much narrower and after playing Pickleball for 15 mins my feet felt swollen and hurt. They are beautiful shoes but extremely uncomfortable.

This Version Hurts!
I’ve had many versions of the 996 and the new version seems to have a slightly different design and is way too stiff and narrow! Bring back the original design.
