Good quality, does the job. My 6 year old daughter slept well on it, myself, at 42, I need more cushioning. I did appreciate the insulation.

I bought the RidgeRest because it has a reputation for being lightweight and durable. Unfortunately, it's incredibly bulky and the ends tend to stay curled.

These mats provided no cushion for tent camping. Ground still felt very hard.

the mat is definitely not like the "original". The material is hard and Slippery and not soft as the one I have used for over 3 decades

I have used multiple of these over the years. They are arguably the singular top pick for durability, and a very good pick for warmth and comfortability. Not heavy, and basically this is the single best bang for buck piece of camping gear you will ever buy in your life. If you can manage to damage one, you will be buying another.

For when you need something bomb proof that has no possibility of letting you down. Serves its purpose perfectly. Not the most advanced or comfortable pad out there but if you want to travel hard and fast and not worry about holes or deflation , give this a try.

I have 2 Ridgerest pads. I use one as extra comfort on top of my yoga mat. Purchased 10 yrs ago Can't live without it!!!!! Use it daily. Pure pleasure. I use the 2nd one, purchased 2 yrs. ago, for comfort, lying on the stone deck of an outdoor pool in the summer. I do not allow it to get wet. I also use one as cushioning to do ankle/leg balance exercises for rehab after a broken ankle. One constructive criticism, the first mat, bought 10 years ago, is shorter than the newer mat. I much prefer the shorter one. Fabulous investment. Joy in my life.

This is my second pad, my first is still in the mix after many thousand miles ,but more importantly countless short day hikes which turned into overnighters. I own at least three or four of the latest and greatest mattress pads but as I pack for for my next trek I always grab my pad. I know what to expect and have confidence that I will get a good nights sleep. Since I have been hiking I never used anything but my pad, not counting the old insulate pad from days gone bye.

Works great for the extra insulation/cushioning I wanted. Happy that this quality product is still being made.

The size is great, and I'm almost 6', but the sleeping pad is hard. The hard surface combined with ridges makes it even more uncomfortable than if it were smooth. I would have preferred a softer version.

I have had your almost identical Ridgerest mat for about 5 years. I adore everything about it. I use it for yoga/meditation/stretching at home. The new mat is about 6-8 inches longer. Prefer the shorter one.

This pad is great for sleeping. Very light! No need to worry about inflating or getting a hole. I also use it as a boat bumper to protect my boat at the dock.

Used it on my cot and was surprised how much different the temperature was without it. Light weight, good bang for your buck.

Closed cell sleeping pads are the only way to go. Unroll no waiting and in morning 10 second roll and ready to go .Air pockets hold heat as self inflated do not. Never worry about a leak. All it takes is a pin hole and you night will end. And these pads will not separate from foam inside. They last forever. 5 stars.

It was finally time to replace my nearly 30 year old RidgeRest pad. Used for a two week desert camping trip. Slept so well under the Milky Way that it took a couple nights after returning home to get used to a bed. Highly recommend.
