Solid shoe overall. Got them laced up right and they hug your arch in a way that makes you kinda feel like you’re floating. Nice leather, but mine had a slight defect in the stitching. Nothing to send mine back over though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Some of the Sambas I got in past years had barely any footbed support and had to be refitted by more solid footbeds from Danner. This year I decided try Spezial, and what a difference! The footbed is comfy and the navy suede with yellow leather stripes are a tasteful color combination seldom seen stateside. I also appreciate it that the soles are not chalk white, so I can wear them on dressed up occasions as well.

I like the style and how they are different from the average shoe while still being comfortable. I found them to fit perfectly out of the box. If you find them to be a little tight in your typical size, go up a half size.
