I haven't used it for working out but it definitely feels cool enough and comfortable enough for that. I bought a small, I am 5'5", small boned but regular build and I think it fits really well. The one thing I would change is make the front zipper about 1" longer - but that's just me being picky. I really like this top and I recommend it.
