Another Altra Winner

After transitioning from Lone Peaks to Timps, this is my first pair of Experience Wild 3s and they don't disappoint. Now living in a more urban setting, I needed a shoe that could get me through rough sidewalks and potholed streets to the trail and back. The shoe has the expected Altra wider toe box and fits true to size. Support is solid throughout the midfoot and ankle. Cushioning is suitable for both road and trail. I'm closely watching the tread as this rubber compound is not as resilient as the Vibram sole on the Timp - approx. 35 miles on them and there is sign of degradation under the ball of the foot. Overall I'm happy with this shoe.

Terrible Quality

Bought these about a month ago and already has rips and holes all over the front of the shoe making the shoes unusable. . there is two 4 inch rips on both shoes. . very disappointing as the shoe is less than 30 days old

First Time Worn Was On

First time worn was on a 8 mile hike in Rocky Mountain National Park. Comfortable out of the box fix true to size with zero hot spots or pain.

Slight Drop Is Perfect

I’ve been running in Altra Timps for years but switched to the Wild for the slight drop (to help with recovery from Achilles injury). I’ll never turn back! Super comfy, good for the Achilles & still holding up really well after 250 miles. The laces seem cheap but they hold tight & are also holding up well!

Great Running Shoe!

Awesome running shoes! I’ve been running in Altra Timps for years but switched to the Altra Wild (due to the slight drop) to help with recovery from an Achilles injury. Super comfortable, better on the Achilles & holding up really well after 250 miles. The shoelaces seem cheap but they hold tight & also holding up just fine.

Sizing

I love my shoes and I have changed my life. The only thing that I run into is trying to find extra wide these shoes already come wide but I need the wide version and they don't have very many options kind of sucks cuz they got a lot of good looking shoes I'd like to wear. I would totally have pairs and pairs of shoes if they if more of them came in The wider version

Excellent Trail Shoe

Durable and comfortable in that 4 mm sweet spot. Use primarily for rucking on highly variable terrain with changes in elevation. Sole grips beautifully.

Very Comfortable Fit. I Have

Very comfortable fit. I have a wider foot with higher instep and these are super supportive. Great grip and traction off road walking and running. Laces stay tighter than my last pair of more road oriented. Second pair of Altra shoes and will not be my last. Perfect for anyone looking for on/off road running shoes.

Very Comfortable Shoe With The

Very comfortable shoe with the Altra fit (wide toe box) that I rely on when running. My go to shoe for my local rail trail runs when conditions require a bit of extra grip on the gravel and dirt surface.

Love These Shoes! The Tread

Love these shoes! The tread allows me to feel confident running on a variety of terrains and the wide toe box is a game changer. I have a fairly significant bunion on my right foot that has rubbed against the inside of every other running shoe I’ve tried and is usually raw and throbbing after my longer runs. This design has reduced the strain on my foot without sacrificing a secure fit. These have become my go to shoes for trial running, hiking, and backpacking.

Solved My Foot Problem

I am an older, long-time runner and had problems with tight shoe toe boxes in a variety of well-known shoe brands. Altra Experience Wild 3s has room and my toes are happy. Shoes feel great.

Great fit and tons of room in the toe box. Comfortable on the very first run and still getting better.

I Have Wide And Flat

I have wide and flat feet. These fit me well and are the most comfortable running shoes I have ever worn at this price point.

Just The Right Amount Of

Just the right amount of cushion on hard/rocky trails, and not too much heal lift to be noticeable to me from the zero drop lone peaks that I wear for hiking and everywhere else.
