Brooks Men's Glycerin 23 Running Shoes

About This Item

    What Our Experts Are Saying:

"The premium cushioning throughout the heel all the way to the forefoot is unmatched with the DNA Tuned tech. There are two nitrogen injected cells in the shoe, one larger one in the heel for cushion and one smaller one in the forefoot to provide explosiveness, and they provide me so much more relief when running. Putting on the shoe is super simple with the easy pull loop in the back, which helps me get on the ground running quicker than ever. Most shoes I try on and they don’t last me longer than 4-5 months, I can confidently say the Brooks Glycerin 23 can hold up much longer than my previous shoes. The rubber tread on the bottom is so durable and gives me the confidence to run on any terrain anywhere. I can’t recommend this shoe enough for anyone that wants a plush ride, good support, and reliable shoe that can go the distance." - Dylan, Run Ambassador at DICK'S Sporting Goods Gilbert, AZ

Some Changes Are Making This Unsuitable For Me

This pains me to write. I have worn the Glycerin for over ten years. It’s been my go to shoe. I am an under pronator (the term used to be supinator) and the wide stable forefront of the Glycerin has always provided the stabilization I needed. The shoe seems to be getting narrower in the toe box and my foot is beginning to roll out in a way I’ve never experienced with previous versions. The other gripe I have is the tongue. Enough with the extra padding already. This version is too thick.

Love Them

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have purchased so many shoes lately trying to find the right pair at the right price and I finally found them . I am a woman but the men sizes seem to fit me better they are a little wider. I don't have wide feet but mens reg are a better fit. So soft and comfortable. But enough support to help when you are walking a lot. I did go up a size I normally wear women 10 1/2 but I went up to a mens 9 1/2 since mens run a size and a half smaller in the numbers. Got a really good deal!

Great Shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great shoes at a great price and very comfortable.

Better Cushioning Than I'm Used To

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been buying budget running shoes for awhile since I haven't considered myself a "serious" runner in recent years, but getting back into a consistent routine meant I finally felt like it was time to upgrade my footwear. Running shoe technology has vastly improved since I last took a serious look at running shoes, and these are no exception. They are lightweight and provide good cushioning while still feeling stable. I think they'll go a long way in reducing some knee strain that I sometimes experience.

Very Supportive And Comfortable Shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased because foot doctor recommended me to wear to alleviate foot pain. This is my second pair and love the fact that my feet have stopped hurting. Will buy again as needed.

Comfortable Shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a month ago. Been wearing brooks for a while now , no need to try on as sizing rarely varies

The Shoes Were Comfortable From The Start

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am glad I purchased them. Exactly what wanted. I recommend them.

Same Old Glycerin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been wearing glycerins for years. They are a little narrower in the toebox but still a great shoe.

Great Shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are by far, the most comfortable shoe!!! I walk Alot in my job, and these shoes are the best!!!

Super Comfortable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these shoes. I have had multiple renditions of this shoe and it keeps getting better. I mainly use them for walking, and I have zero complaints!

Fantastic

I recently bought glycerine shoes, i really love them as they are light weight and some cushion is there while walking or running. they are making me better runner!!!

Falls Short Compared To Last Years Model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shoe as a whole, is decent, in comparison to other shoe brands. However for brooks standard and most importantly the standard that the Glycerin 22 set up the year prior, it falls short. Not only is it not as comfortable as last years model, but they also feel cheaper somehow.

Shoes Are Too Small

Shoes run way too small, felt like it was a full size off.

Love My New Shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] By far the most comfortable shoes I’ve owned , and love the look

Toe Box Creased Immediately

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Brooks, and these shoes feel amazing overall. Unfortunately, the toe box on the right shoe creased almost immediately and now presses uncomfortably against my big toe. I’ve tried using a blow dryer with socks stuffed inside the shoe and even purchased toe box crease guards, but neither solution has fixed the problem. I’ve experienced the same issue with a pair of Ghosts I purchased a few years ago and initially assumed I had just received a defective pair. Since this appears to be a recurring issue (all over reddit), I really wish Brooks would redesign or reinforce the toe box. It’s difficult to justify the price when the shoes begin breaking down and become uncomfortable after only a few wears.
