Still Love The Ghost

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a decades-long Brooks wearer I keep at least one model in my shoe rotation - normally a Ghost, and/or Ghost Max, and/or Launch. Lately I have tried another brand that offers the same cushioning in a lighter more responsive shoe. I still like the Ghost 17, but I don't view it as the shoe I MUST have to continue running and training. It is a bit clunkier than I prefer. Also the laces for some reason seem extra short on this latest pair (I need to unlace and measure to be sure). The shoe width is perfect for me and the shoe generally seems like it will hold up well and last far longer than the 300 or so miles recommended. Normally I run in my Ghost 17's longer than recommended (shoes are expensive!), and can get closer to 600 miles on a pair before I need to swap them out. The 17s don't feel quite like my old Ghost models, but the tongue of the shoe does not chafe against the top of my ankle like one of the prior Ghost models did, and the fit is solid. In short, I'll buy it again on sale.

Ghost 17: A Painful Experience

Although I have happily and comfortably worn Ghost for many years, my recently purchased Ghost 17 shoes were a huge disappointment. The sides of the shoe near the tongue dug into my skin crating sores. Despite changing to a thicker sock with above the ankle coverage the discomfort continued. I

Very comfortable but a tad longer than the last pair I purchased. So they may be comfortable but they seem a bit too big. I ordered the exact same pair as last time and that pair was a perfect fit.

Very Comfortable

I love these Ghost 17 they are very comfortable. I have tibial tendinitis in my foot and this really helps my foot. I love the amount of cushion. It has in the shoe

My New Favorite Shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes are comfortable on day one. No breaking in is needed. There is just enough cush for impact but without the bulk and my stride feels free and natural. The tred has a slight grip but not too much as I feel a drag. My new favorite shoe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have wore Ghost sneakers since Ghost10. I wear them as my everyday shoes and have them for my sports/workout shoes. The Ghost 17’s were huge disappointment. I had 2 pair, they were more narrow that all previous Ghost. I even purchased several pairs hoping the bad fit was just random and had to return them all. I just purchased the Ghost 18’s and I am very pleased that they are again a great fitting sneaker.

Quality Construction But Sizing Off For My Wife

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this shoe for my wife. She wore it around our house for several days and told me she did not like the shoe as it did not fit her as well as her Ghost 16. She has worn Brooks Ghost for an umpteen number of years (we are in our 70s) and this is the first pair of Ghosts we have had to return simply because they did not fit her as well as the previous models. A good quality shoe but the fit was off for her. Thanks!!

Ghost 17

The heels are very comfortable with good support. My. Right foot bunion has worsened, maybe I should have ordered extra wide instead of wide. Still squeezed my toes. I believe I should be fitted in person for shoes ongoing. Otherwise ghost 17 is a comfortable shoe.
