We bought this for my 12 year old to use at soccer after reading review on Wirecutter. It has worked well for 9 months with light use, great insulation and leakproof but now the mechanism to twist and open the straw isn't working and the water bottle is unusable. I'm pretty disappointed since it was close to $50 to order from Dicks.

Wow, got 2 of these for gifts, great look and function-for Awhile! Same problem as others with Twist mechanism, as you have no replacement lids with different types of function I won’t even bother looking for a replacement, there is lots of competition in the water bottle ecosystem, Brumate will no longer be getting my business, this bottle is a flop but the fact you don’t even have a plan B lid is weak!

I bought this about 4 months ago, and I typically love Brumate stuff. Keeps everything super cold, and I love the colors and designs. The Papaya made me add to cart INSTANTLY. Now? I hate this thing. I can't get the lid open with one hand while driving, and today, the Rotera lid just stopped working. So now, I have to go find another vessel to drink from because my water bottle has locked me out. It's pretty, but just...don't do it.

I’m really disappointed with this. I was excited about the design and concept, but it just does not work well. I had a loud air/whistle sound every time I drank so I ordered a new lid. The new lid was quieter, but still made noise. However, that lid broke a week later and would no longer open. I could look past the noise, but not how poor of a job it does at keeping water cold. I use ice in all my water bottles. I had a 25 oz re hydration bottle from Brumate that would retain ice for 24+ hours and it was awesome. This rotera barely lasts 4 hours. I see a lot of great reviews, so maybe I just got a faulty product? Idk, but I wanted to love it, and ended up not even using it. I will also say, if it worked right, the design is pretty cool, so I gave it a higher rating below.
