I was given the Compact pepper mill as a gift when it first came out. It has traveled with me all over the world, in and out of the Navy and has been above and below every ocean ensuring I have fresh ground pepper flavor always.

This is a great touch to a campfire meal. The build is cheap and light enough to add to your kit, but a little excessive for lightweight camping.

It's really tiny, holding about a tablespoon off peppercorns. It's also pretty heavy due to the nice stainless steel burrs. A nice addition to my teardrop camper kitchen but I wouldn't hike with it. Adjustable grind.
