Should have two dots for placement over the bony prominence on the lateral knee, which is different for the right and left knee. The placement will vary if using on the left side compared with the right, which WILL make a difference. In addition, I accidentally snapped the plastic flex strip when initially tearing at the perforation and was separating the tape. Be forewarned, because I did not use much force at all. These strips are waaaay too expensive to waste! I am a longtime KT tape user and am very familiar with the nuances of proper placement. I haven’t wasted a strip in years, but this learning curve is slightly different. I do feel like the flex version does provide additional support for my lateral knee pain, and I am trying to prolong a second knee replacement. KT tape bought me an extra year of athletic activity for my other knee, which, after replacement surgery, is now the “good” knee.

I was excited to try these since the tape work so well for my knees. They are supposed to last 5 days so I was ready to try them for my 8 mile hike. They started falling off in the first mile. By mile 3 they were gone. They don’t stick as well as the performance tape.
