[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always loved New Balance 574s. This recent pair I ordered looked a little different as they did not have the "574" on the tong of sneaker. The "574" marking is on inside tag of tongue though. I don't know if this style is slightly different than the other style I mentioned, but for some reason they do feel more narrow.

Quality of the 574 has really dropped. They’re ok for walking around but feel pretty flimsy. Build quality isn’t what it once was.

Good shoe as I use this primarily for work (hospital), and my 2 year old 574s is at that point where it now needs to be on shift work. These new ones seem to be made out of tougher material, and though it needs a longer break-in time, seem to be much more durable (not that the other one isnt!).
