The Universa shorts are my go-to shorts. The materials is soft and structured. Pockets on both sides and a rwar butt pocket allow tou to carry phone, keys, gels, etc. The shorts do not ride up like most and fit true to size.

Nike Why Did You Ruin My Favorite Shorts
I bought a pair of these shorts a year or two ago and immediately fell in love. They were perfectly compressive, did not move an inch, flat seams, and flattering! The material of these shorts felt like a second skin and I wish I had a pair for every day of the week. Worn for every distance from 5k to marathon and the shorts never let me down. So I happily bought another, only to have a completely different pair of shorts arrive :( The new version of the Universa has no sticky grip lining the inside of the thigh, uncomfortable thick seams, are not compressive, and I was so disappointed. It seems Nike was motivated to remove the front seam and add pockets, okay cool, but why remove everything that made the og short great? (Front seam never bothered me at all since the originals fit like a glove and didn’t migrate during movement!!)

They Were Okay
I think the texture is just very rough for my liking. I have also very chunky thighs and they rise up so beware of chafing. I also don’t know what they sewed the top of the shorts with other folded weird and cut my waist.

Love The Two Pockets
I am a big fan of the material, it has good compression and pockets on both sides. What's nice about the pockets it's they're flush so not really noticeable if you have nothing in them.

These Are 5” But Photo Looks Like 8” Shorts
