You won’t be disappointed. Super comfy, very form fitting (I’m a skinny guy, 6’9, 150lbs and the S is perfect). Super warm - used this in Antarctica and also wear it with suit pants over a button up shirt and tie and it looks very stylish.

Best All Around Zip Neck For Me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best mid weight zip neck base layer I’ve ever owned. The quality of the fabric is unmatched. I’ve never had a Smartwool garment that pilled. It looks good enough to wear as a shirt/sweater. The zipper is first class and the neck doesn’t sag. I were it as a base layer skiing all over the IS and Canada, cycling in cold weather, and under a shirt all winter to take the North Atlantic chill of fall through spring. Best of all I can wear it without worrying about the dreaded polyester stink, its stays fresh for ages.

Perfect Fit, Regulates Core Temperature Well, Excellent Comfort.

Absolutely love the lightweight fit and comfortability. It fits true to size. This is my fourth purchase of this line. Each has been exactly the same in fit and comfort. And amazingly the fabric keeps your body temperature warm yet it allows it to breathe with changing temps to create a perfect balance of core temperature.

Excellent slim fit. Love that you can wear with shorts or pants, hiking and nice to wear out with friends. Very comfortable while keeping your core temperature comfortable.

Fabric was beautiful & felt great, but sleeves & torso were too long for my 5'11"" frame.

Really Happy With This Brand Purchase, First Time User.

Extremely comfortable, I found the fit to be perfect for me who doesn't like anything to feel restrictive to movement. A big plus to the zip-neck is being able to put it on without touching any sunscreen applied to your face or messing up your hair.

A Formerly 'Always Cold' Husband Is Finally Warm!

You know how there is always one person in a group that is always too cold? Well, that is my husband. He. is. always. COLD. That is, until now. Our son gifted him the Men's Intraknit Thermal Max Merino Base Layer 1/4' zip before our trip to Alaska and we fell in love with this product. I just gifted him the Men's Classic Thermal Merino and he says this is perfect when you want 'just a little bit less warmth' than the Thermal Max. He wears these every day. I just wish both of these products would come in dark gray, light gray, midnight blue and medium brown, too.

I Will Likely Buy Another One In A Different Color.

Under a loose wind jacket but over a dry-fit shirt, and under a ski jacket, as a base+ layer. Just wore it for the first time on a ski trip in Vermont. not exceptionally cold out, and it kept me dry, meaning it wicked a fair amount of sweat. Did not budge from my ski pants, and never rode up in the back. Now, it's a bit tighter than the SW active 1/4 zip that I also have. I'm not exactly fat, but if you have a belly, this will hug it nicely, so it's not for the vain. That's why I say - good base layer.

I have used it going out in the winter weather and for downhill skiing. Looks Great and keeps me warm and dry
