Replacements, Not As Awesome As The Old Ones.

I am replacing a pair of these boots I’ve had for years. The outer construction appears very similar, however the insole is uncomfortable. There are two raised areas you can feel under the medial ball of your foot. Strangely, this is not identifiable when you remove the insole or inspect the sole. I have a few different versions of xtratufs and generally recommend them to everyone.

I'm a lower school science teacher, so I am outdoors a lot. They are perfect for everything -- I've worn them the woods, on the beach during a nor-easters, and causal everyday activities. True to size and I didn't need to break them in at all.

Summer Farm Boot?

I got the Salmon Sisters 15" Legacy Boot years ago to wear almost daily on my farm and I have loved them. But I wanted a shorter, and hopefully cooler, boot to wear during the summer. I was worried about the durability based on some reviews but so far, so good. My main complaint is that my foot is a half size and so ordering up means the boot feels a bit loose and floppy on my foot. Not like it'll come off, but it's like the difference between clogs and sneakers. I don't want to run in clogs, or maybe even walk fast. Same here. I might buy an insole to give it a little arch support and take up some of the space in the boot to make it a bit more fitted feeling. I realize that might negatively impact my goal of having cooler summer farm footwear, though.

Need Half Sizes

Overall I'm happy with the boot, just wish they came in half sizes. The nine is too small and the 10 is too large. 9.5 would be a good fit I'm sure. Had to go with 10 and it's a little sloppy and my heel raises a bit.

Great! Until The Toe Box Breaks.

I absolutely adored these boots until they fell apart. I loved the vintage color combo, the height and ease of getting them off and on. I live in the PNW and get outside with my dogs rain or shine and there is lots of rain. These boots kept my feet dry. But they lasted just over one year of use. The upper part of the boot cracked around the toe box and water gets into the boot now.

I wear these everyday. Rain or shine. They’re perfect for playing outdoors with the kids or taking the dogs out in the morning if the lawn is covered in dew. I cannot wait to plant my garden in them.

Not Slip Resistant

These boots boast charm, resilience against water, and unparalleled comfort. Yet, their slip-resistant claim is as absent as a ship in a desert. Purchased for my maritime abode, I envisioned them as my trusty non-slip allies. Alas, as I descended the ladder amidst rain’s embrace, they orchestrated a rather comical descent of my own. Even the stairs’ nonslip embellishments were no match for their slippery nature, nearly evicting me from the dockside. Proceed with caution, or perhaps a sense of adventure akin to a high seas escapade.

Daily Driver

LOVE these playful deck boots! I find they are a little more fitted than my other ankle deck boots in a nice way - they offer a bit more of a hug. The grip is great and they're my current favourites!
