Do not buy. They send the mat rolled up and it never comes close to flattening out. I tried everything to try and flatten it out but you’re forever putting on a wrinkled mat. It’s mind boggling that odyssey actually sells this product. I chose this mat over other mats based on their name & reputation but never again. Don’t make the same mistake I made.

Enjoyable Putting Mat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m getting into golf and bought this mat to work on my putting. It’s very convenient to be able to use it in the house and practice some 8 foot putts while watching TV.

Nice Little Mat, That Needs Prep.
Out of the box, you have to use a clothes iron, and lots of steam to get it to lay flat. When I got mine out there were big deformations in the material and the end where the hole is was completely curled from being in the box. It is not usable at all, straight out of the box. I used a sprayer with water to get it damp all over, and an iron set to medium high, to get it to lay flat. Afterwards, I used a vacuum with a rotating brush head to raise the knap of the mat, for more accurate roll. After some prep work, I actually really like this putting mat, there were a few others I tried with automatic ball returns, that were basically just neoprene mats, which rolled too fast, with a big hill at the end. This one, once you prep it properly, is a better simulation of green turf.

Roll Up Putting Green
Bought and unrolled a few weeks ago. Still hasn't flattened out. Using dumbbells to weigh down humps and it's still wrinkled. Simulates a real green in a way.
